How To Auction Your Items

To schedule an auction drop off appointment, click HERE. Please read the information above the booking portal. Furniture, chandeliers, and large appliances must be pre-approved via email to info@ricochetboise.com. After approval, we will reply with information on scheduling.

There will be a 50/50 split between Ricochet and the consignor of net proceeds from items sold in the auction after Whatnot fees have been deducted.

All auction items will have a $1.00 starting price with no reserve. 

If there is an auction it will show on the announcement bar at the top of our website.
If you have signed up for our mailing list, you will receive an email alert giving you information about the auction.
Additionally, we post information about the auction on our Facebook & Instagram.

1. Download the Whatnot app on the App store or Google Play Store.

2. Use the link HERE to make a Whatnot account & get a free $15 credit to shop our next live auction.

3. Go to “Account” in the bottom right corner after opening the app and signing in.

4. Select “Payments & Shipping” to add your delivery address and payment method. You will need to do this before being able to bid.

• Make sure you have a payment method & delivery address connected to your account. (We will not ship any items but you must have a delivery address on your account.)
• After joining the live show, click on “Wallet” in the bottom right corner. Edit your delivery method and change it to “Free Pick-Up” so you won’t be charged shipping on purchased items.

To place a bid, you can swipe the “Bid” button OR you can click on “Custom” to place a max bid. A max bid will automatically bid on your behalf until it reaches your set maximum or you are outbid. 

When a lot goes lives, a timer will show up in the bottom right corner. You will have that long to bid on the item plus extended bidding time. Extended bidding automatically extends the closing time of an item when a bid is placed during the last 10 seconds, ensuring all bidders have a chance to make a final offer.  

Someone has previously placed a custom max-bid amount higher than your bid. Always look at the bottom of this screen to make sure you are the highest bidder.

No, once a bid is placed, the bidder who placed the bid is responsible for that amount and will charged right after the lot has ended.

All sales are final. Purchases on Whatnot are not through Ricochet. You must contact Whatnot Support about the possibility of cancelling/returning a purchased item and you may be suspended/banned from future shows.

Yes, a 6% sales tax will be applicable to items won in auction.

The payment method attached to your account will automatically be charged at the end of the lot. 

Winning items must be picked up the following 3 days after a live auction. Pickup hours are as follows:

Friday 10am-5pm

Saturday 10am-4pm

Sunday 10am-4pm

Ricochet does not have the space to hold any winning items after the pickup days. Any items not picked up during the allotted time will be re-auctioned.

After winning an item during one of our live auctions, you will need a pick-up code to come pick up your item(s). You can find your pickup code at the bottom of your emailed receipt OR by going to the Whatnot App and follow these instructions:

1. Click on "Activity" in the bottom right corner
2. Click on your purchased item
3. Click on "View Pickup Details" and a QR code with the pickup code will show 

Items won in auction will be located at our Boise location at 5777 N Glenwood St., Boise, ID 83714.

Ricochet does not have the space or resources to hold any winning items after the pickup days. Any items not picked up during the allotted time will be re-auctioned.
Please do not bid if you cannot attend the scheduled pick up date, time, and location.

We are happy to help assist with smaller items. For larger items and furniture, please bring your own help to load and appropriate tie-down and cushioning materials, as we do not have these available.
